Okay, So It Wasn't A Real Award

I apologize if I was misleading in my "First Love" post from Valentine's Day. I realize, in hindsight, I was a little too ambiguous. It was not an actual award, merely a thoughtful gesture from a loyal reader. It was still sweet and appreciated, though!

I may never receive an award if I fail to use any control and post what I've been yearning to write about. I've been having lots of 'stirring' sexual feelings, and since I use writing as an outlet...well, you get the idea. I don't want to offend anyone with sexually laden material, but then again, I do give fair warning that this is not the blog for prude traditionalists. Besides, I personally find it offensive that society has made sexuality a 'dirty' thing when it is a completely natural and enjoyable part of life.

Hey, a girl's got to express herself. Consider yourself warned.

Write what your heart tells you to write and let the readers be damned, so to speak. When I've posted some "sexual chapters" in my story, I had a couple readers frown, but, surprisingly, more ask for more. The readers you want are the readers that allow you to be yourself and love you for it. I say, let it fly. :-D

I agree with Trée. Just be yourself. This is YOUR blog. Unless you're writing for someone else, and/or commercially you are free to write about whatever YOU want to write about.

There are other prude blogs out there for those who can't appreciate what you're writing...

So what if they don't approve of your content? You don't answer to them, and they shouldn't talk like you do.

I love giving the middle-finger salute to some of these people, then drive away in my SUV with mud flying. Heh :D

Sex is a wonderful thing and the hell with anyone who thinks it should be all boxed up and never talked about.

I've got a separate blog from my main blogs that I post about my sex life in dirty details, which works well for me.

Are you crazy? Sex should be kept a secret at ALL times and only happen on birthdays and anniversaries. :D

Hmmm...it looks like the male population has a unanimous sentiment on the subject. The females may be more divided. But I do agree with everyone so far, except Doug (who broke his own blogging rule #4 with that comment). :P

After all, this is the blog that I intend to use as an outlet for my less politically correct material. Seriously, I can't be good all the time.

If you use writing as an outlet, you shouldn't worry too much about what people like or don't like. You may find some of your favourite stuff is unpopular, and the stuff you don't like as much is the type of stuff a lot of people enjoy.

Write for yourself, don't worry about always pleasing your audience, and everything else should fall in place.

Hey, I could have passed along my "love award," given to me by another way-cool blogger, to anybody in the universe, and picked you, so you are special, darn it! ;-) And I am GLAD you wrote about sexy-time! Since my son reads Fermentedfur.com, I can't be as explicit... but hooo booooy, have I written some stuff! LOVE your blog, so keep writing whatever feels right to you. Don't over-analyze or second-guess!
